Once upon a time... there was Inês Vila Mona Santiago.
Inês had studied at Aveiro University (Portugal), where she met Margarida, and now she is taking new adventures in tierras castellanas, Barcelona! Olé!
Through Facebook she asked Margarida:
Margarida Girão, who had never surfed in her life, but loves all things related to surf, listened to Inês's question and said:
Esta curta teve início quando a Inês leu um desabafo da Margarida no Facebook. Esse desabafo era: "Tenho o desejo não secreto de ilustrar projectos de surf e música."
Inês tinha conhecimento do concurso do festival de surf e lançou o repto à Girão.
A dupla começava a dar os primeiros passos...

Who we are
'How to be a surfer girl in 10 steps' is a short movie specially done for Surf Film Festibal 2010, San Sebástian.
Inês Mona Santiago and Margarida Girão produced the argument, the illustrations and the animation.
We created this blog to share with you the making of: our storyboards, the brainstorming and the first illustration.
It will work as a backstage of the movie. But until 15th May none will be shown.
